Job 2001 Structural Engineer (Temporary Works) -
Our client is a niche consultancy in temporary works construction and has become an invaluable contact for some of the largest and most ambitious principal construction contractors in the UK, providing design, site support and training services. As the client base has rapidly increased so has the volume and scope of work and geographical reach.
You will report to the Engineering Director and be responsible for producing both project specific and standard detail designs in line with British Standards or Eurocodes and CDM. You will be enjoying a variety of design work, involved in formwork, falsework, tower crane and hoist bases, façade retention. You will ensure that schemes provided to clients are the most suitable to their needs, wherever possible suggesting solutions and altering initial schemes that will make savings. At times you may be based on site, providing support during the construction phase of projects
You must have a good level of knowledge in Structural Analysis and Soil Mechanics with a design consultancy or contractor. The ability to use AutoCAD & Tedds would be beneficial.
To be considered you must have a relevant qualification, good command of the English language and a full driving licence.
Based near York in very pleasant surroundings. This is a permanent position. 39 hours per week. Salary based on experience between £27000 and £38000.
