Job 2122 Post-Grad Structural Bridge Design Engineer - York
Exciting times as heavy investment and the award of several new contracts has resulted in the opening of a strategic York office. Our client is a civil engineering design consultancy established over 10 years ago with its roots in Scotland with niches in design work for the rail industry, energy, heavy civil engineering and building structures. Their clients are building contractors, local authorities, transportation agencies and private clients.
Currently looking to recruit a Graduate Civil Structural Engineer; the successful candidate will hold a key post where innovation and attention to detail are tantamount. The candidate must have a minimum of 1 years’ relevant experience in a design office environment, and looking for an opportunity for career progression.
You will ideally have experience of some of the following structures - bridges, tunnels, stations & buildings, geotechnical, and design using concrete, steel, timber, masonry. You will enjoy working on multiple concurrent and multi-disciplinary commissions as well as representing the company to clients.
Responsibilities will include
Development of conceptual and detailed designs in accordance with project requirements.
Structural calculations and analysis using appropriate software packages.
Manage and build relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.
On site visits/ structural inspections/ investigations.
Conditions
Salary £27,000 - £36000 basic. Annual bonus. 21 days’ annual leave + 8 Bank Holidays.
