Job 2122 - Senior/Principal Structural Engineer - York central
Exciting times as heavy investment and the award of several new contracts has resulted in an opportunity to recruit an experienced Engineer.
Our client is a civil engineering design consultancy established over 10 years ago with its roots in Scotland with niches in design work for the rail industry, energy, heavy civil engineering and building structures. Their clients are building contractors, local authorities, transportation agencies and private clients.
The successful candidate will hold a key post where innovation and attention to detail are tantamount. There is opportunity for career advancement and professional development is supported. You will enjoy working on multiple concurrent and multi-disciplinary commissions aswell as representing the company to clients.
You will ideally have experience of some of the following structures - bridges, tunnels, stations & buildings, geotechnical, and design using concrete, steel, timber, masonry.
Responsibilities will include
- Managing various projects from conception to site completion.
- Development of conceptual and detailed designs in accordance with project requirements.
- Structural calculations and analysis using appropriate software packages.
- Manage and build relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.
- On site visits/ structural inspections/ investigations.
- Manage and mentor staff.
Conditions
£45,000 - £60,000 depending on level of experience. Annual bonus. 21 days’ annual leave + 8 Bank Holidays. Continuous training and development. Yearly Professional Membership paid for Chartered Engineers. Company Group pension. Group Life Insurance.
